December 1st, 2006 Ask and You'll Receive

My Dear Children, as we end another year and begin our holiday traditions I'd like us to remember a custom of talking to Santa. Can you remember sitting on Santa's lap as a child asking for your favorite toy? Did you write a wish list to send to the North Pole? As children we are encouraged to ask for our desires, pray for our dreams, and wish for the heavens. The act of asking is so important. It allows us to express our desires and speak our dreams. So my loves, when was the last time you asked for what you wanted?

As we grew older we learned that maybe Santa could not deliver everything on our list. Maybe we lost faith in Santa for bringing the blue bike instead of red. We learned not all we desire comes when we expect it. As we let go of Santa, so too did we forget to ask for our wish lists. We loose the ability to ask when we don't give ourselves the time to practice asking. Often we give up praying knowing we'll receive disappointment if we don't receive what we wanted. Although Santa didn't deliver and at times God cannot deliver what you desired, what we want comes to us in surprising ways. We learn to allow the wish list to be a guide and the presents we open to be just right for right now.

Asking is powerful, for it opens your heart to speak your needs. Think of all the things you desire in life. More money - ask for a raise, vacation - ask for time off, need help - ask a friend, need comfort - ask us your guides. When you are not receiving what you desire from life check to see if you remembered to ask for it. Those around you cannot help you if you don't speak up and ask.

So my loves today I'd like you to reach back in time and remember the joy of writing that Dear Santa letter. This time please write a Dear God letter for all the things you'd like in your life. Reach for the heavens, dream big, and open your heart. Let this guiding letter bring you to your desires and help you find those that will help you succeed. All my love to you this Holiday season and wishing you peace within your hearts.

November 1st, 2006 Hugs

My Dear Children, today let us talk about hugs. As physical beings we need to touch and experience everything in our environment. To express emotions we use many different tools as a human, but touch can be the best way to convey the emotion of love. Hugs allow us to connect heart to heart with another being. People, animals, trees, all the beings we share space with in this world we can hug. A hug is an exchange of love, energy, and life.

Hugs need to be heart to heart. By opening your heart and arms to another you allow yourself to receive without judgement, conditions, or fear. To be embraced by another is a way for us to both receive love and give love. How do you hug? Take notice as you hug and receive hugs. Those that are closed to love will not face you heart to heart, or pull away before receiving your energy. Those take hang on you without hugging back take love but do not give love back. Remember hugs are just an exchange of love. There are no strings attached or negative energy from giving and receive a hug. So hug freely to everyone, even if you feel like you are the one hugging. Sometimes it is are openness to love that allows others to receive more and give more to life.

Hug the world! Try hugging 10 people today. Family, friends, the grocery clerk, the postman, and next door neighbor, or a stranger on the street. Hug a pet, a tree, your favorite pillow. Hug with all your heart and the world will hug you back. All my love to you my children. If you close your eyes and breathe me in you will feel my hug of love too.

October 1st, 2006 Just Do It !

My Dear Children, life can come at you fast, demanding your time and patience as your desires are fulfilled. We know when to act within our hearts, but our thoughts can slow us done. This inner knowing is Divine Timing. For Divine has it's own timing beyond our needs to have it now. As we struggle with our own timing verses Divine timing we lose faith in the process or miss the calling to begin. We become stuck in fear and the ‘what if's' of life. When we find our self spinning in indecision the best course of action is to JUST DO IT.

Making a decision is easy. You either say yes or no to what you'd like to do in your life. It is all of our worry, fear, acceptance, and responsibility that clouds our choices. Understanding the difference between choice and worry helps us make smart decisions with less hassle. Know that choice comes from the heart, where as worry comes from fear. Instead of asking yourself if you want something ask does it serve you. For example asked yourself ‘do I want a donut?' verses ‘does this donut serve me?' We know the donut may be fast sugar fun, but it does not serve the body for good fuel. This divine question can be asked for any choice in life. Does this relationship serve me? Does this job serve me? Does this credit card serve me? Each time you ask this question you are focusing on your heart instead of the fear within your mind. Often the answer is not what you expected. Although you may not like your job at the moment it serves you by providing money to pay your bills. Once you feel more secure in your abundance you will realize the job does not serve you anymore and you will change jobs.

Once we have discovered the truth in our heart about the choices we are making the path is easy to choose. If we know the relationship does not serve us and leaving now would be an excellent choice then divine timing steps in to show you your next step. When we are in the flow of the divine it is always easy. You still need to do your work/lessons but each step of the process can be achieved without struggle. The relationship ends, you have a new place to live, and you continue on your new path. We will still need to process the end of a relationship emotionally, but the choice became clear when we listened to our hearts.

My Motherly advice to you all is just do it. When we spin in indecision we stop our lives to entertain our own fears. Fear will only do what it is designed to do. Protect you. So choose not to play with your fear anymore and make the choice to move forward. Fear will always side-step and let you through. You may encounter new fear but in the end we know it does serve us but only as long as we need to be protected from ourselves. Love yourself and know when the heart says yes to life the divine will answer with a smile and the path of abundance open to you. My love to you as we walk together down this road of Divine.

September 1st, 2006 Stuffed Animal Therapy

My dear children, when we are little we often had a favorite blanket or teddy bear that brought us comfort. We clung to this teddy to help us when we first learn about the world around us. We found someone who would believe in us and listen to all of our concerns without judgement or interference. We shared our sadness and joy with this little bundle of stuffing with a cute face. As we grew up we were told to leave the comfort behind. We found comfort in others and importantly in ourselves. But the physical joy of holding a teddy bear still remains in our core as a comfort. Now as we struggle in the current world, in our current adult self why not return to your comfort? Where is your teddy bear now?

Teddy bears and all stuffed animals are the best therapies we can give our selves. We all need to snuggle and feel comforted. We are a society of feeling and touching beings. Why else be in a physical body? Stuffed animals are plush, soft, cute, and squishy. They give us a means to give love and feel that softness back. They don't mind if your sick, shed tears over their fur, or even throw them in frustration. They listen to our worries, and give us a focus to dialog with ourselves.

Time to go shopping! My loves I would like each of you to go buy a stuffed animal, or for those of you who already have them take them down from the shelf. Let go of the silliness or thoughts of being childlike, this is exactly who we are feeding. Each of us have a inner child who wants to be comforted and loved. In times of great stress we may know in our minds everything will be ok, but the emotional child within needs the hug of comfort. Find your animal that fits well into your arms, brings a smile to your face, and makes you remember the joy to have comfort in your heart. Hold this animal tight and feel that comfort return as it did as a child. Sleep with your stuffed friend knowing tomorrow is a new day and you can face it with new light and understanding. And speak your dreams and worries to this teddy so you can let go of the fear. Allow this stuffed animal to be the comfort you desire.

Allow the simple joy of comfort through this loving toy so that you may be compassionate to the world around you. Enjoy my children, and know I'll have my own teddy bear so we can be comforted together.

August 1st, 2006 Doorways

My dear children, we often find ourselves divided between the memories of our past and ponderings of our future. In a world changing so fast it takes a force of will to stay rooted in the now. Why is this staying in the present so important? By being all of you in the moment you can be confidant in your decisions, aware of your own needs, and compassionate to the world around you. When we hoover by the back door of our souls attending our past, our regrets, and our fears we choose not to live for the now and open ourselves to the possibilities of tomorrow. Living in the now is like living in the soul house of your self. The front door is the future of new beginnings, new ideas, and helpful people. The back door is the past of experience, events and people who have shaped you into the present being. What doorway do you attend? Are you so busy at the back door of the past are you forgetting to open the front door of new beginnings? Let us look at your doorways of self in a new light and bring yourself back to balance.

The past doorway is all we have experienced in life and lifetimes. It includes people, places, events, family, and memories. Having a way to remember our past is important so that we don't repeat the same mistakes, remember those who've loved us and pasted on, and give us the courage to leap into the unknown by remembering the joy of a similar thrill. The past can also hold us with fear when we cannot let go of its lesson. Let us use the common example of a past relationship. Maybe it didn't end well with betrayal and mis-spoken words. Because you dwell on this past relationship it seems to reappear in any new relationship you try. They may have a different name and face but soon the same behavior and words are spoken again. Soon we find ourselves questioning why me? Because we have not let go of this old relationship and hurt we continue to manifest it in all of our relationships till we are done. We question the motives of our partners and look for the betrayal even if there is none because of our intention we will be hurt once again. When we continually attend the back door of the past we cannot hear the knocking of the new relationship at the front door.

Learning to let go of the past, to forgive others and especially yourself is the single most important thing as a human you need to learn. This act of forgiveness is love. Compassion is to see we all learn in an unique and unusual way and the experience is prefect no matter what the outcome may be. When we can love our past we can close the door and face our new beginnings. Opening the door to the future is like the rising sun. Learn to embrace the future with confidence and understanding and life will flow with a new grace in your life.

July 1st, 2006 Little Surprises

My Dear Children, as we begin our summer vacations, patio bar-be-ques, and outdoor activities we place ourselves in Mother Earth's backyard. Below our bare feet in the grass is an amazing world. All the creatures great and small share this world with us and have much to teach if we listen. When the weather is warm and we choose to slow down for a long deserved break why not turn to your Mother and your forgotten Brothers and Sisters of Nature.

We are often so busy and quick to rush to the next gathering or job we forget to take notice in what is around us. We share this world with the animals, plants, stones, and many more unseen beings. We are truly never alone. When we slow down we can begin to listen to the songs of birds, the buzz of bees, and the welcoming scent of roses. Each being has a different way of communication. In your world of internet you pride yourselves on faster and faster communication, but the secret to communicate with all life is listening. To listen we must rest and be peaceful returning to our heart centers and allowing our hearts to open to the world around us.

We are all connected to one another. As we allow ourselves to feel these connections we can take notice in who is talking to us. Creatures will continue to feed themselves and play but will often visit us if we need to be reminded to do the same within our own lives. By spending time outside you invite nature to share time with you. What messages does Nature have for you? Is the squirrel reminding you to be playful? Is the hummingbird showing you to drink only of the sweetness of life and not the sorrow? Or does the clover tickle your feet like it did when you were a child? You are surrounded by a loving family of creature brothers and sisters who love and guide you.

So allow yourself to open to the little surprises of Nature. Slow down to the pace of a snail and enjoy the world from a different point of view. By learning to listen to nature we can better understand ourselves and all those we love.

June 1st, 2006 Worry Meditation

My dear children, how often do you meditate? Once a day, week, in the morning or maybe before bed? My loves you meditate all the time when we worry. Worry is a form of meditation by focusing on what we do not want to create within our lives. But when we focus energy on anything in our lives we will eventually create that focused desire. Worry can be a all day consuming behavior that includes ourselves and all those around us. Be it our family, friends, enemies, or countries we live in. Why do we worry? Because we must accept life will go it's own way without our control. Worry is often our own battle of accepting life and divine order.

Does worry help? Yes and no my loves. Worry will bring this problem and drama into your life faster so that you may move through the experience and let it go. It may not be what you desire right now but your focus always determines your reality. Let's say you have a co-worker that is very negative and causes problems with the flow of work. On your days off you worry what he/she may do or say to make your work day awful. Monday morning this person is waiting by your desk having already spilled their coffee all over your chair and the cycle continues. In this case we have boundary issues with this co-worker and your worry has helped this person to come to you for that lesson. Whatever we're worrying about we accelerate the outcome by our repetitive thinking.

Worry thinking is draining. When we become stuck in this type of energy we can hardly do anything else. To break this cycle and allow life to flow at a loving speed within our lives change your worry to affirmations. Instead of worrying on may or may not happen within your life confirm what positive things are true. Instead of worrying about next months bills affirm the abundance was there today to pay for this month. Don't worry about your family, know they have loving guidance as you do to guide them to what serves them the best. And let go of the worry if you're good enough with the affirmation you are prefect in the soul you are right now. Change the worry to belief in what you know to be true.

Worry can be a sign to what you are truly concerned with in life so that you can send the positive energy it needs to manifest with abundance. Let worry become a confirmation. So begin today my loves with letting a worry become something wonderful, and soon you'll have more time and energy to do what you love the most....to live a full life.

May 1st, 2006 Re-Create Your Self

My Dear Children, what a wonderful time of the year as our seasons change from spring into early summer. Your planet once again shows you life in abundance with new growth in the trees, new flowers at your feet, and new baby animals taking their first steps. Every year Mother Earth re-creates life around us. It is time to re-create the life you dream and steer yourself away from the rut you walk in procrastination.

Why do we fear change? Because we truly have no control over what may or may not happen. Change happens. You cannot stop change any better then you can stop the seasons from re-creating themselves. Change is a natural state. But as humans we spend a lot of energy and thought around stopping this change. Friendships come and go, jobs transform into something better, children grow and move on, but still we worry. Re-creating ourselves is a natural drive. When we stop fighting our own growth life can flow at its natural speed.

When we delay our own change we find ourselves in a state of resentment, anger, depression, and laziness. We feel trapped not only in the position we need to change but also in ourselves. Only we can stand in the way of our own change. How do you change? Start today! There is no better time then now. What do you desire to change in your life? By taking one small step today you re-create yourself for tomorrow. By continuing each day with another step you will be a totally different person then the day before. Nature allows us to see great changes so to encourage us to do the same. When we are in the process of change we don't always see our progress, but we change daily in small ways.

When we allow ourselves to change daily, to enjoy our natural ebb and flow of life we don't fight ourselves. And within that state of being we find peace. So ask yourself today…. What do you desire to re-create within yourself? And remember my loves I am always right by your side.

April 1st, 2006 Playing the Fool

My dear children, when is the last time you acted silly? Or laughed out loud? Humor is one of the most basic energies we can express to bring clarity, healing, and fun into our daily lives. But often we choose to be stoic, stern, and detached in life. When we allow our selves the pleasure of playing the fool we open the doors of possibilities and adventure to be created daily. So stop being so serious, lighten up, and laugh out loud.

When we view others being foolish be can be quick to make judgments about their behaviors and/or choices. We need to separate ourselves from the possibility we too act like a fool. Society views the fool as a 'waste of time' or 'acting childishly'. We have lost the appreciation of how the fool character serves us as growing human souls. Fools walk into life experiences without hesitation and show us that fear does not need to control us. The fool walks into challenges for the experience, no matter what the outcome may be. And most important the fool shows us to have humor in everything we do, because in our own seriousness we miss life.

When we act silly and allow ourselves to be playful and foolish we open ourselves to a way of thinking outside of the structural way of life. Humor is energy that breaks through rigid structure; it uplifts your thoughts and promotes self healing. When you find yourself feeling ill try laughter! Laughter brings lightness to our thinking. We often get too entrenched in one way of thinking or one way of approaching a problem. When we allow humor to show our serious self and laugh at the reflection we release all restrictions. Life can flow with ease and freedom.

Time to be the fool. Next time you find yourself being the critic of your life and actions just learn to laugh. We all do silly things at times. By allowing yourself to laugh you release your need to be critical. Even better find someone or something that makes you get the giggles. Laugh at a movie, have a pillow fight with your children, or tell a silly joke to a friend. Watch how your day is lighter with just a little humor. Now when you see the next fool to walk down the street you can cheer them on knowing their actions can mean freedom for us all.

March 1st, 2006 Measuring Our Growth

My dear children, how do we measure our growth? When we were but little children we stood by a wall to mark how far we grew in a month or year. As we grow older we change our view from how tall to how slim around the waist or how fat our wallet is. But when it comes to our spiritual path we can get frustrated when our perceived progress is too slow. Our society demands productivity and progress. And when we turn our attention to others we can become depressed or full of ego. In the end it is not a race, there is no finish line, but a journey with many stages that are sweet and slow or excitingly fast.

We love to compare all that we do. It gives us a sense of accomplishment when we succeed and goals when we feel stuck. When we look at a tree cut in half we see the story of its life. Each ring is another year in the trees journey. Some of these rings are long and wide showing us this was a rich year with good nutritious water, food, and sun. This tree learned a lot and stretched out to live more fully. Then we see short, small circles where there was less water and food and the sun tested the strength of the tree. We can even see where a sickness and broken limb was mended and loved to health. In these dry years the tree pulled within to conserve strength for when it could expand again. We as humans are no different. Each year we expand, grow, stretch and uplift to another ring of consciousness.

Our rings are the lessons we learn, challenges we face, and passions we embrace. Some times our year is full of passion, events, and people. We stretch to new places when we move past old beliefs and limitations. We feel as we look back over our year totally different than when we began. Other years we do little focusing on one project, one task, even just trying to live each day. Although these lean years feel as we do not expand, our expansion is internal allowing us to leap more fully into the outer world. There is a balance between our internal growth and outer growth.

This is also reflected in our mundane activities verses our more spiritual activities. Some days are spent reflecting quietly by a stream expanding our mind and heart allowing the spiritual side to breathe and refresh. Some days are spent racing back and forth to work, paying bills, and visiting parents. Although we sometimes crave one over the other, both days can be as one. Allow yourself to be what you need (spiritual or physical) as we sometimes need to be very focused in one world.

Time to check your growth rings. Look back over these last two months. Were you stretching out into the world or pulling internally to grow? Are your days balanced with spiritual awareness and daily issues or are you spending too much time on one side of the balance? What would you like to grow toward next? And the most important part of growing, just like when we were little, give yourself a gold star! You have grown more then any of you thought possible. Just being a live today, making the choice to live in your heart, and be you is a huge leap in growth. All my love my dear children.

February 1st, 2006 Loving our Reflection in Others

My Dear Children, what is ever present in our lives, sometimes we desire to see it and other times we run away, and always reflected in every face we see? Our reflection is always present in our lives. It is the image of our world within shining out to the world around us. Just as water and glass can show you your image other people, animals and nature can reflect back to us our secret world. So let us explore this helpful tool so that you can embrace the image within and love the world more openly.

As we know our image is bounced back to us with a mirror. People around us often provide the same support. When we encounter others who push the wrong buttons and enrage our emotions they show us a reflection of ourselves. The traits in others we protest (pet peeves) are the same traits we carry but will not admit to or currently trying to release. We also see traits we desire in others and they help reflect back our own image to realize we can have the same. The tricky part of understanding our reflection is accepting what you see. Just as we look at our naked body in the mirror and love some parts and not others we can have a blind eye to ourselves in others.

Understanding your inner world comes from living in the outer world. All life is connected. Just as your inner world is reflected in everything you do in life. We all have a positive effect in the world around us but often we are too busy with the process to notice the effect. When we connect with others they help us to notice the world we project from our hearts. It is this inner world we can feel very disconnected from. We wonder what my purpose is. What is my path? What do I want? Allowing others to show you direction and purpose brings a new perspective to our lives.

Try something new, see yourself in each person you meet today. Smile to yourself through their eyes. And notice a new part of your inner world. Ask those you love to share what they see in you. What they admire in you and what they'd change. Remember each reflection is just that. We choose how we will react from this image but knowing that reflection is powerful and loving. For when you see your face in everyone and everything a great loving comes from just being part of this wonderful world. All my love my beloved children.

January 1st, 2006 Loving the True Self

My dear children, it's a new year! As we begin to review our deeds of the last year and plan for our new adventures in 2006 let us include the most important person…. our true selves. We have many parts of our total human package we would love change, rewrite, redraw, and reduce. There's even parts we love and admire. But can you say with honesty you love the whole self? Loving your true self includes all of you, the bad and the good. As we begin this wonderful year of loving the true self let us begin with all our parts working together as one.

As is tradition with New Year's we make a list of items to change. Loss weight, spend less, eat better, and live a even better life then the year before. We love to push our goals to an extreme. Always with the "can do better" instead of the accepting the now. We naturally look to what can be changed or dissected within ourselves. We become the parts of self rather then the whole self. To love yourself means to pull all of your parts together, accepting the bad and good. Allow the change within to naturally occur by loving yourself enough to let go of what does not serve you now and opening to a greater love.

Fall in love with self again! Look beyond your faults and love the being that is you. You are special and unique! By opening your heart to fully love the being you are you can love each day with your whole being. Love is the connection to all life. Divine is love. By allowing love to flow into your heart you flow with Divine. This love connects you to all beings and your beloved Earth. By loving self life is connected to you, through you, manifesting abundance and joy in all you do.

Find the small things you love to do and do them. When we allow ourselves to have fun and happiness in life we open our hearts for more love. Find the traits of your whole package you love. Even if you desire to loss weight focus on your love of running and how far you can run. Love is an energy that changes without resistance. It can help us flow to our next discovery, our next insight, without the need to suffer. Love simply and often.

So my loves, will you choose to love yourself today? No matter what we have done the year before today is a new day, a new year. Let your New Year promise to be a new loving of self. Open yourself to receive joy in abundance to discover a whole you, so that you can love the world with all your heart.
